Malhotra's Mumbai home gives a very vintage vibe, with art adorning most of his walls and vintage cars made of silver as his decor pieces and wooden carvings galore.

Not to draw a comparison but we can see a major difference bwteen his and designer Sabyasachi's taste. The latter is more traditional with a number of decorative items in the house and painted walls, while Manish is more minimalistic and modern in outlook when it comes to the home decor.

Manish Malhotra's house also has large floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and one of them is present in his bedroom. His bathroom also has a huge collection of Tom Ford perfumes which he is apparently obsessed with.

The whiskey decanters, chandeliers and wooden pillars and walls sure look very regal with backlit false ceilings.

Manish Malhotra's journey is an inspiring story when he was just a model and grew up in a Punjabi household obsessed with Bollywood. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Manish said: ' I’m completely self-taught -- I used to sit and sketch for hours! Finally, at the age of 25, I got my big break -- I worked on a film starring Juhi Chawla!”

But there were challenges -- I remember producers would get so irritated when I’d ask multiple questions about the storyline. The only brief I had was to make the heroine look glamorous. But I wanted to do more! That’s how my name started going around. I started travelling the world, designing clothes, and then launched my own label in 2005,' he added.
